There are several ways for interested people to get involved with the horses
of SPEAH. One of the primary paths
to enjoying these wonderful animals is
through our mare lease program.  Participants have free use of the Straight Egyptian Arabian broodmares leased to them as a part of this research project.

In return for caring for the horse while under lease, including regular veterinary care, the resulting foal is owned by the program participant. The organization in turn provides guidance and research data forms that are completed and returned to us for compilation and analysis. In order to facilitate our research SPEAH encourages active breeders to incorporate a horse or two into their programs and carefully record the results.

SPEAH also occasionally has stallions available for lease to breeders with the facilities to keep a stallion. Geldings are also available for young people interested in participating in one of the many youth programs.

For more information on applying for the mare lease program, please contact a board member. To see a listing of mares, stallions, and geldings available
for lease, please consult the "News" section of this website.
