One of the most intriguing and interesting things about our beloved horse is its role in history. A rich tapestry can be woven from the genealogical records, literature, handicrafts, and art of all kinds that this animal has inspired for hundreds of years.

To further fulfill its commitment to preserving and enjoying the past,
SPEAH has assembled a most comprehensive collection of Middle Eastern and Egyptian horse artifacts and fine arts, as well as a valuable library of
cultural literature, ancestral guides, and reference handbooks. Both
collections are among the finest assembled anywhere.

From ornate tack commissioned by kings to native clothing and costuming, the Heritage Room is filled with unexpected treasures. Among them are works of fine art, the Anne Hatchett Sprague exhibit of native Arabian jewelry, and antique reference volumes.

Donations of art, books, or other appropriate materials are always welcomed by SPEAH as it endeavors to add to its distinctive collection.

Please watch for a virtual tour of the Heritage Room and Library coming soon.
