Through the vagaries of the ages, through turmoil and peace, through prosperity and depression, the Egyptian Arabian horse has survived more than 3500 years to prance today in pastures around the world. Yet their numbers remain small...their status, rare.

Those who cherish these most beautiful of God's creatures rejoice in their living, yet believe steps must be taken to preserve the integrity of their bloodlines and ensure their existence for future generations. Thus, the Society for the Preservation of the Egyptian Arabian Horse (SPEAH) was founded in 1988.

Through its diverse programs such as the Mare Lease, the Heritage Room Museum and Library, and many youth events, SPEAH is dedicated to history, education, and research.

As a 501(c) 3 organization under the Internal Revenue Code, it is committed to its unique role as "Guardian of Treasures," both living and antique. Those involved believe strongly in the preservation of a rich heritage and glorious future for the Egyptian Arabian horse.
